Cell Cleansing

Most therapists are only touching a small percentage of the body of the people they are working on. As mentioned previously, when the body is deprived of the right sort of water, it goes on dehydration alert and makes extra cholesterol. We are actually nearly 80% water but what holds the water in the right places is the mix between the oils and water.

Let us consider this in the context of male/female polarity. As a brief review : in the daytime, we are upright, and influenced by the energy of the sun (see Diagram 1). The cell membrane (wall) is made of lipids (fats), and you have fluids inside the cell, as well as external to the cells. The 4 main electrolytes play their part in the movement of these fluids. During the day calcium, sodium and fats, which always move together around the body (the cholesterol ring of Iridology) move into the cells.

As well as a polarity switch, we know that if the body is dehydrated it must be short of EFAs and the phospholipids to maintain the correct balance of fluids. So some of the fats will be damaged fats that the body has no way of processing. Some of these fats will get into the lipid membrane. The cell becomes quite toxic, which is a natural occurrence, and we begin to feel tired. At night, we lie prone, under the influence of the moon, and potassium and magnesium move into the cell.

We need the magnesium to push the potassium and we must have B6 to enable both potassium and magnesium to work. When the body is in balance, they naturally move back into the cells during our resting night-time and displace the sodium and calcium. However, in conditions such as CFS/ME however, people will always tell you that they feel tired on waking. This is because the body is not able to cleanse the cells properly during sleep, it has lost the integrity, the vitality, to be able to do so. The body, remember, has been on dehydration alert all this time, with the fats coating the cell membrane and becoming enmeshed in it. The result is that the cell becomes less accessible and the shifting across the membrane is impaired.

It is easy for the calcium and sodium to move into the cells during the daytime, as they are should, since the sun is so much more powerful than the moon. This will happen whatever the person's state of health. It is harder for the potassium and magnesium to move into the cells at night and this is the basic of incomplete cleansing (see day/night cleansing cycle).

So I refer to the 'percentage impairment' in this cleansing function, which is the same as talking about a percentage impairment of the immune system. We would say that AIDS or CFS/ME might have a 50% impairment of the cells, for example; a 50% reduction in cleansing of the cells, which may be in a specific area of the body.

Once again, why does the body produce the extra cholesterol? To protect the fluid inside the cells. The body never works against itself, it is always doing the best it can to survive with maximum efficiency in any situation. The body has recognized it is going to be short of fluids, so it produces the cholesterol to protect the fluids inside the cells. People who are very swollen are actually the most dehydrated. Women tend to swell first in the area of the colon and men a little higher up in the abdomen. When cleansing is impaired, there will be a feeling of dis-ease. Looking to the mental level we say that, if the cells are cut off, so will the person be on the emotional/ mental level. 'I can't feel it' will be a common response with regard to emotions.

CFS/ME and mental problems (depression, anorexia, bulimia) result ultimately from the initial mineral imbalances, especially the misplacement of calcium (the homeopathic definition of TB). When the day/night cleansing cycle does not take place properly the calcium is found in the wrong places - inside the cells - rather than outside the cells, namely in the blood; and fluctuating blood sugar levels are also due to insufficient levels of calcium in the blood. Can you now understand  why I explain that CFS/ME, anorexia, depression, etc, are a form of TB?

You might start with the Tubercular picture - which is calcium misplacement - or perhaps with the celiac one. Initial intolerance of grains can move on into the celiac picture. Celiac disease is a condition where you have to leave out gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats) because of adverse effects on and via the colon, though it starts with a liver imbalance. The colon conditions are central to body health. In children with a gluten difficulty what you need to do is to leave out the damaged fats and give them the Essential Fatty Acids. You thus give the child the ability to start to use the zinc which then heals the intestines and prevents the subsequent movement of disease to a more serious level.

If untreated or if there are serious interferences (anti-biotics, vaccinations, steroids, etc) the problems move up to the mental/emotional level and the problem has thus become more serious because it has become more life-threatening. The BCG vaccination, for example, can lead to anorexia. In illness we have the cells becoming locked in, becoming impervious, and the body may have lost the integrity to clear the cells efficiently, so the toxicity is locked in. This is what I see happening in cases of cancer, and is how I describe that condition. Cancer is a lump that may be anywhere in the body, but is often found in the lymphatic system, encapsulated so that the rest of the body can attempt to continue to function relatively normally.

The body does not work against you, as some people would like to think! But it has to find somewhere to put all the toxic matter, so it will try to keep it all in one place; it will start to multiply within itself in order to contain the toxicity. In the case of cancer there is no movement out of the cells, so no cleansing. Put this alongside the knowledge that necessary changes in life directions were not being made.

The body produces the tumor and, to protect the rest of the body, tries to encapsulate it in one place but more and more the body is becoming cut off as is explained in the Day/Night Cleansing Cycle section. Can you see how, if this continues in an extreme way, those cells will become completely cut off and, when that happens, how the cells (and ultimately the tumor) can become cancerous? Once the tumor is completely cut off from its connection with the rest of the body, the cells within can do whatever they like - and do!

The level beyond 50% impairment is where the person moves out of the TB Miasm and into the Carcinosin Miasm. There will be very little response or movement going on within the immune system, and particularly within the lymphatics. We are seeing major lymphatic cancers, like breast cancer: once the cells become so toxic, the body can only try to isolate the problem. I want to make the connection between the lymphatics and the immune system quite clear, as the 'immune system' can often be a rather vague concept. The lymphatic tissue and system are a major part of the immune system.

Can you now appreciate why it is appropriate to rest more during the winter when we already have the thicker body fluids? The influence of the moon is needed for longer periods and the influence of the sun is for a shorter part of the diurnal cycle. Living in tune with the natural cycle, eating the foods of the season, would minimize the toxic effects of winter.

But modern lifestyles are not matched to these natural requirements, and the overall result is an increase in the dehydration picture. The solution is certainly not to artificially create more reactions through putting more things into the body, supplements included, as long as this dehydration is ignored. We need to be addressing the problem of the cell membrane first, by using water and the EFAs. We start instead by increasing the hydration and creating more movement in the body fluids so that we do not simply create further stress. You may wish to look at the book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" by F. Batmanghelidj at this point - all except the last third, which is not necessarily relevant or useful.
