Energy Detox: for improved health

(Note: this is a long page, designed to be easy to copy and paste.)

The Biology of Belief by Dr Bruce H Lipton explains that there are two fundamental types of crystals. The crystals that most people are familiar with are hard and resilient minerals like diamonds, rubies and even salt. The second kind of crystal has a more fluid structure even though its molecules maintain an organized pattern. Familiar examples of liquid crystals include digital watch faces and laptop computer screens.

To better understand the nature of a liquid crystal, consider soldiers on parade. When the marching soldiers turn a corner, they maintain their regimented structure, even though they're moving individually. They're behaving like a flowing liquid, yet they do not lose their crystalline organization.

The phospholipid molecules of the membrane behave in a similar fashion. Their fluid crystalline organization allows the membrane to dynamically alter its shape while maintaining its integrity, a necessary property for a supple membrane barrier. So in defining this character of the membrane it could be said that it is a liquid crystal.

The implications are that electricity (and light) can be used to affect cells, which make up all living things on this planet. There was a time in medicine when electrotherapy was used extensively. At the end of the nineteenth century, the development of batteries and other devices that produce electromagnetic fields led to hastily constructed machines that were supposed to cure illness.

The public sought out practitioners of this new-fangled healing art called radioesthesia. Word spread that these devices were very effective. By 1894, over 10,000 U.S. physicians as well as an untold number of self-trained home consumers were regularly using electrotherapy.

In 1895, D.D. Palmer created the science of Chiropractic. Palmer recognized that the flow of energy through the nervous system is critical to health. He focused on the mechanics of the vertebral column, the conduit through which spinal nerves provide information to the body. He developed skills to assess and tune the flow of information by adjusting the backbone's tensions and pressures.

The medical profession became threatened by Palmer's chiropractors, as well as homeopathic healers, radioesthesiasts and other drug-less practitioners who were taking away much of their business. The Carnegie Foundation published the Flexner Report in 1910 that called for all medical practices to be based on proven science. Because physicists had not yet discovered the quantum universe, energy medicine was incomprehensible to science. Denounced by the American Medical Association, chiropractic and other energy-based modalities fell into disrepute. Radioesthesiasts disappeared completely.

In the last forty years, chiropractic has made great inroads in the healing arts. In 1990, chiropractors won a lengthy court battle against the medical monopoly when the American Medical Association was found guilty of illegal attempts to destroy the profession. Since then, chiropractic has spread its sphere of influence — it is even accepted in some hospitals. And despite electrotherapy's checkered past, neuroscientists are conducting exciting new research in the area of vibrational energy therapies.

For instance, doctors currently use constructive interference mechanics to treat kidney stones, a rare case where the laws of quantum physics have been harnessed as a therapeutic tool in modern medicine. Kidney stones are crystals whose atoms vibrate at a specific frequency. Doctors non-invasively focus a harmonic frequency on the kidney stone.

Constructive interference results when the focused energy waves interact with the atoms in the kidney stones. The atoms of the kidney stones begin to vibrate so quickly that the stones explode and dissolve. The small, remaining fragments can then be easily passed from the system without the excruciating pain that accompanies large, unexploded kidney stones.

The science of physics implies that the same harmonic resonance mechanism, by which sound waves can destroy a crystal goblet or a kidney stone, can enable similar energy harmonics to influence the functions of our body's chemistry. But biologists have not explored these mechanisms with the passion with which they pursue new drugs. That is unfortunate, because there is enough scientific evidence to indicate that we can tailor a waveform as a therapeutic agent in much more successful ways than we now modulate chemical structures with drugs.

In fact there are many forms of crystal-like systems in the body, which is actually a series of synchronous, interacting, crystal structures. On this level the human body is a linkage of oscillating solid and liquid crystals that form an overall energy pattern. Each organ, gland, nerve system, cell and protein structure shows a level of organization with some degree of crystalline function.

Marcel Vogel, the world-renowned crystal expert, has pointed out that the human energy field exists as an array of oscillating energy points that have a layered structure and a definite symmetry and that these properties fulfill the definition of a normal crystal in material form.

For example, our bone structure has long been recognized as a solid crystal structure with piezoelectric properties. A piezoelectric effect is the creation of an electromagnetic field (EMF) pulse when a crystalline structure is physically stressed or pushed out of its normal shape. As a solid crystal, bone has the ability to convert vibrational energy such as sound or light into electromagnetic and electric energies.

Studies suggest that the crystal-like components of the extracellular matrix of bone, such as collagen and proteolycans, possess piezoelectric qualities. It has also been established that mineralized tissues, such as cartilage, dentin, teeth in general, and relatively non-mineralized tissues such as keratin in skin, elastin, artery tissue, connective tissue (tendons and ligaments) and even some amino acid crystals (glycine, proline and hydroxyproline) all have piezoelectric properties.

Crystals can absorb, store, amplify, transduce and transmit these vibrational energies. Advanced vibrational researchers such as Glen Rein, M.D., have also shown that electromagnetic, subtle, psychic healing energies and crystal energies have similar biological effects on the body. Dr Rein's research shows that subtle healing energies alter the measurable electromagnetic pattern of a crystal, suggesting that they can alter the physical structure of a crystal and can have biological effects.

Cells are suspended in an extracellular matrix of macromolecular crystal-like connective tissue components. This matrix is filled with structured water, which also has crystal-like properties. Cells of all types can be influenced even by very weak EMFs. The water in the extracellular system and the crystal-like matrix receive the resonant energy and information. In the process of receiving incoming energy, the eletrochemical formation of this matrix structure changes. This change is then transmitted in an electric current, sending energy and information throughout the whole system.

This is a system that provides another pathway by which the resonating bone structure is able to send its biologically transduced, vibratory information directly to the whole cellular system. Although there are other crystal-like sub-systems that resonantly take in and transmit energy, the bone structure - because it is the only solid state crystal in the system - remains the main transducer. Its solid state enables it to hold memory patterns more permanently stored as EMF frequencies in the bone.

Dr Marcel Vogel calls the bone the storehouse of the mind. Memories are also now believed to be stored in the crystal-like structures of the deep connective tissue. This is the biomolecular basis for deep tissue therapies. The bones also vibrate in resonance with other vibratory sources like crystals, gems, mantras, chants and music.

A liquid crystal is technically defined as having form, liquid properties, stored information and a measurable electromagnetic field. The larger liquid crystal systems include fatty tissue, muscle and nerve tissue, the lymphatic system, white blood cells, and the various pleural and peritoneal linings.

Body fluids have crystal qualities too. The water molecule contains in itself contains the potential forms of all crystals in its primary form of a tetrahedron. Water can bring all different forms of ions into a crystalline state and hold them in solution.

In fact, the human organism and mind can be understood as crystal transmitters.
