Energy Detox: for improved health
(Note: this is a long page, designed to be easy to copy and paste.)
None of us has been able to avoid the knowledge that thousands of toxins
are everywhere in our air, food, and water. They are inescapable. And
worst, they are in our bodies.
But what is a toxin anyway? It can be defined as any substance that
creates irritating and/or harmful effects in the body, undermining health
or stressing biochemical or organ functions. The word "poison" can often
be used interchangeably with "toxins". Toxins enter the body's cells in
basically two ways. We can inhale or ingest them or they can be created
inside the body as a response to conditions that may arise for a number of
reasons. We can be under emotional distress, for example.
This website
focuses mainly on external toxins although
Energy Detox will
make energy available to enable the body to deal with both external
and internally created toxins.
Here is a brief summary of the fundamental facts that are still
unappreciated or ignored by conventional medicine:
·
Thousands
of environmental poisons permeate every aspect of our air, food, and
water. They are unavoidable.
·
These
poisons invariably make their way into our bodies. For many of them, the
body has no known detoxification
mechanism. And even for things it can metabolize and get rid of, the
quantities and combinations we are exposed to overwhelm our ability to
detoxify the awesome amounts we accumulate each day.
·
The
result is that we slowly, silently, innocently stockpile these poisons in
our bodies.
·
Once
these poisons have been tucked away in "safe" storage, they do not stay
put, but slowly migrate through the body, damaging our cellular chemistry
in a myriad of ways.
·
Eventually the poisoning reaches a point where the damages result in
symptoms and
disease labels.
·
All
medications turn off damaged pathways, but do nothing to get rid of the
underlying causes, much less bring about a cure. In fact by adding one
more chemical to an already overwhelmed body, and using up further detox
nutrients, they usher in new symptoms and illnesses.
Volumes of studies by the United States government Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) confirm the ability of common everyday chemicals
present in our air, food and water to cause cancer. Every chemical in our
environment is continually outgassing into the air. We breathe these
chemicals and, because most of them are lipophilic petrochemical
derivatives, they easily make their way past our lung membranes into the
bloodstream, brain and every organ, where they are trapped because our
bodies are not designed to live on such an unending array of man-made
pollutants.
Researchers at Lancaster University in the UK found that in testing for
the presence of 78 chemicals in the bodies of volunteers, on average 27
chemicals were present (and these are only from the 78 tested - there are
many many more we are being exposed to daily). Studies reveal that out of
hundreds of people examined, 100 per cent of human fat biopsies reveal
styrene, dioxin, xylene, dichlorobenzene and more.
Their ubiquitous use, for example, in industry as grease-cutting solvents
is exactly what allows them ready access into our fatty acid cell
membranes. Dioxin, for example, comes from bleached paper products,
diapers, milk cartons, herbicides in foods, auto and industrial air
pollution, and much more. Xylene comes from gasoline, auto exhaust,
paints, glues, plastics, furnishings, cleansers, degreasers, office and
home construction materials, carpeting, etc.
Most of
these chemicals are blatant carcinogens and no one is free of them. A
normal functioning body can handle certain levels of toxins. However,
given the levels of poisins currently overwhelming us, over time our
detoxification process ceases to work properly.
It also affects our
elimination processes
which begin to
underfunction. Eventually we can no longer either detoxify or eliminate
efficiently and effectively, and they begin to poison us.
We
do not "wear out", rather we actually slowly poison ourselves to death. We
are all walking time bombs. No wonder there has not been any improvement
in survival from cancer over the last 30 years, even with all the billions
thrown at cancer research. None of these billions is being used to look at
toxicity or detoxification. What a waste. (Could it even be deliberate?)
Environmental toxins
have reached everywhere in our world. Disturbing levels of modern manmade
chemicals are found in the wildlife plants, seaweeds, fish, and waters in
all the areas of the world, even the most isolated. Studies of Inuit
(Eskimo) mothers reveal some of the highest levels of modern chemical
poisons in their breast milk. Industrial smokestacks disseminate into the
air the leftovers from plastic manufacturing such as dioxins and PCBs.
Clouds carry these most potent triggers of cancer ever known to man to
every continent and every body of water. Taken up by the soil, then
plants, then animals, then humans, there are no longer any pure bodies.
Chemicals are in our
everyday air. This assures them another easy route to every one of our
internal organs. Plastics in the home and office environment continually
outgas or leach into the air we breath. Think of the smell of new vinyl in
furnishings, a mattress, your computer, your blender, notebooks, new
shoes, boots, briefcases, handbags or cars. Any chemical that you can
smell in the air makes its way into your bloodstream as those molecules
diffuse from your lungs, and even through the skin, into the bloodstream,
eventually reaching all the organs.
Plastics are just
one example of thousands of everyday chemicals we stockpile. For example,
vehicle exhaust has been proven to aggravate asthma and increase
allergies, trigger heart attacks or depression, as well as lower the
immune system's resistance toward getting infections. Car exhaust contains
heavy metals, pesticides, volatile hydrocarbons and many other foreign
chemicals. Then throw in the exhaust from industry and public incinerators
and you can understand why each day we are literally bathed in a sea of
chemicals.
20
years ago EPA studies of breath analyses of residents in New Jersey, US,
revealed that 93% harbored perchloroethylene in their bodies, 89 per cent
had benzene (a known cause of leukemia), and 29 per cent were exhaling
carcinogenic tricholoroethylene, in addition to numerous other
carcinogens. And we all know that pollution has got much worse in the last
two decades.
No
place is safe. For example, some people live on a pristine wooded hillside
in suburbia, miles from the grime of cities and industries. In the
evening, columns of pollutant-laden hot air rise from the sun-heated city
pavements, roads and buildings. With them are carried transportation and
industry exhausts. These are wafted for miles on evening breezes; by near
morning the cooling of the earth's surface allows the isotherm (a mass of
air that is the same temperature) to settle out over unsuspecting sleepy
suburbia. In fact some suburbanites are getting worse air quality than if
they lived right next door to the factories.
We are a polluted
people:
·
100% of
human fat biopsies in studies by the EPA (the US government Environmental
Pollution Agency) contained undetoxified styrene residues (Styrofoam,
styrene, foam, plastic coffee cups, meat trays, plastic wrap for meats,
fruits, vegetables, heated plastic wires in walls, appliances, and
computer housing, etc.)
·
100% of
human fat biopsies in EPA studies contained dioxins (one of the most
potent causes of cancer known, from bleached paper products, diapers, milk
cartons, herbicides in foods).
·
100% of
human fat biopsies in EPA studies contained xylene (gasoline, paints,
glues), and
· 100% of human fat biopsies in the EPA studies showed another
carcinogen, 1,4-dichlorobenzene (public restroom and home deodorizers,
moth balls, sanitizers in textiles for furnishings, bedding, clothes, and
many other products).
The poisoning starts
even before birth. Sadly, in this era, even many babies are currently born
with dangerous levels of toxins passed from their mothers while still
"safely" in the uterus. These toxins cause birth defects, learning
disability, hyperactivity and set the stage for infant and childhood
cancers. And the level of toxicity
in our homes, where
we think we are safe, is almost unbelievable - including toxins in
our water and
our foods.
Pesticides
are everywhere. Last, but not least,
heavy metals are
among the worst and the hardest to clear from the body.
The proof has been
available for decades. We are the first generation of humans ever to have
been exposed to so many chemicals that silently bioaccumulate and are so
difficult to clear from the body. Medically
prescribed drugs
won't do it. But detoxification will.
If we are lucky,
when the total load of toxicity exceeds the detoxification ability of the
individual, only minor
symptoms or chronic
problems result. This is a gift: a golden opportunity to nip it in the
bud.
Detoxification is
the only permanent solution. Once these chemicals are removed, conditions that have
baffled conventional medicine and symptoms that are alleged to be
incurable can almost magically melt away.
It is possible to
have very uncomfortable symptoms whilst undertaking
Energy Detox
although it usually
means that the body is so desperate to detox that it is overwhelming the
main routes of elimination for a while.
