The approach here is to rebalance the body. The system was
developed by Patrick Richards, who in 1983 designed a device he called a
Luminator, which balances air temperatures from floor to ceiling and from
wall to wall for efficient energy management in offices. He found that
after its installation the office staff begun reporting that their
general health had improved, including the reduction of lower back pain
and migraine headaches. On further investigation, Richards discovered
that, as well as balancing the temperature in the room, the Luminator
altered the magnetic field and changed the available light in the room
from incoherent (light going in all directions) to coherent, or polarized,
light.
Further research uncovered the astonishing fact that light from living
organisms could be imaged in the Luminator's field. It is this
particular aspect of the Luminator that is used in Biolumanetics. All
living things emit light and a healthy person emits brighter, more
coherent light than an unhealthy one. Diagnosis in Biolumanetics begins
with the client being photographed in a room containing the Luminator by
an imaging technique called VRIC (Visual Reference of Image Coherence).
The photo may show the subject as blurred, revealing a loss of vitality or
coherence in that person. The therapist then attempts to improve that
vitality. Whatever solution or cream is suggested as a remedy for the
problem is given to the patient to hold while he or she is photographed
again. If the remedy is correct, the image will be dramatically sharper,
more coherent, showing an improvement in vitality and rebalancing the
body. The remedy is thus proved to be suitable even before it has been
used by the client.
One
of the most interesting uses of Biolumanetics therapy is in relationship
problems. A woman suffering severe stress, for example, may be
photographed holding pictures of different members of her family. Her
"coherence" or the light she emanates may appear dramatically
different with each one, perhaps revealing hidden difficulties
in family dynamics.
