Energy Detox: for improved health
There already
machines and treatments in use that rely upon measuring the differing
energies in the various parts of the human body. The Germans and others on
the European continent often refer to this practice as functional
medicine. In other words, is the body functioning normally, or simply
under performing? Somebody with a severe hangover may feel like dying, but
experience tells him or her that they will recover.
In a similar
way, many symptoms are the result of the body's underperformance. In
orthodox medicine the word `functional' is used to describe a condition
that is imagined rather than being a "labelled disease". That
is the vital difference between the two types of medicine. Orthodox
medicine only recognises "official" diseases as opposed to all the other
conditions that may have no official diagnosis. Functional
medicine recognises three conditions:
perfect health, disease labels, and a third larger group of people
who are not functioning proper.
There are a
number of machines made by different companies and in particular Vega of
Germany makes a fantastic piece of equipment. There are several different
computer models available. All offer an extensive range of tests. The
machine is based upon electrical measurements of
energy between two points. The patient holds a baton in one hand and a
measuring
stylus completes the circuit when applied to the palm of the opposite hand
or to the foot.
In most
countries this machine does not receive the recognition that it deserves;
worse, efforts have been made to discredit it. Several documentary
programmes have depicted non-professional, untrained people using earlier
types of this machine with consequently poor results. Despite promises
made by the TV production teams neither medical practitioners trained in
the use of these machines or representatives of the manufacturer were
called upon to allow a balanced debate.
However Vega is
known throughout the world as a manufacturer of high quality measuring
instruments. By the start of this millennium there were in excess of 14,000 of the Vega
`expert' machines in German doctors' and dentists' surgeries. It is
important to understand that many orthodox practitioners in Germany accept
the test results obtained by this machine. Legal requirements in Germany
allow for an alternative medical opinion if traditional medicine fails to
resolve an illness and as a consequence many German doctors practice both
orthodox and alternative medicine.
Like all
equipment it is only as good as the operator. Anyone can buy a stethoscope
to make them look like an expert of some kind but it takes many years of
study and practice to become capable of identifying all the different sounds that the
human heart can make in both illness and health. The same situation
applies to the use of the Vega machines. Since many of the
measurements made are qualitative and not quantitative, it requires
training and practice to operate effectively. In the right hands the machine is an excellent tool
for improving health.
