You will start with a self assessment, a set of questions which
creates a report to help identify the tactics you use. The
"winning" ones, which are "constraints", and which may be "downfall"
tactics within the cultural environment of the organisation will be
identified for you. The emphasis is on practical steps that have been
identified as improving success rates, thus clarifying the implicit and
sometimes hidden rules for career progression.
Detailed "development prompts" (suggestions for action) will be
provided based on twelve different tactics grouped within six overall
themes, highlighting the specific tactics that you have used most
and least often. (Did you know that, of "successful" managers, less than
40% are actually effective?)
