Much more reliably than using willpower, we can offset the limitations of conscious will and discipline by building positive rituals that become automatic - and relatively effortless - as quickly as possible. By determining where and how a behavior will occur, and then making it habitual, we no longer have to think much about getting it done. A series of experiments have confirmed the power of using this pattern. And you know yourself that habits, such as brushing your teeth and hair, require no willpower.
