What is flow? Csikszentmihalyi, a professor of psychology at the University of Chicago, has spent more than twenty-five years systematically studying the components of similar peak experiences in tens of thousands of people around the world, ranging from mountain climbers to painters to business executives to chess players. He coined the term flow to describe an optimal state of inner harmony in which one’s “thoughts, intentions, feelings and all the senses are focused on the same goal.”  For more, read Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's books "Flow" and "Finding Flow".
